What's at the festival
Full programme →Mushaira — Poetry Showcase
The cultural heart of the festival. 35 invited poets in Dari, Pashto, and English. Live links to diaspora poets across Europe. Masters to emerging voices.
Headline Performance
Latif Nangarhari and Hashmat Sahar take the stage in turn, closing the night. Followed by a community Atan dance circle — not a performance to watch, but a circle to join.
Eid Bazaar
Afghan food, sweets, crafts, fabrics, jewellery, and books. Free tea station all day. The energy of a community marketplace.
Cultural Performances
Nasheed, tarana, and multilingual spoken word pieces woven across the evening. Music that carries the tradition forward.
Atan Dance Circle
Afghanistan's national dance closes the night. A circle that anyone can join — step in or watch from your seat. The tradition that brings the whole room together.
Guest Speakers
Keynote addresses from prominent figures in the Afghan diaspora. Celebrating what endures.
Where it began.
The Birmingham edition filled the room. We are bringing that energy to London — at twice the scale.
